Matt Mullenix, MA, LPC
Hey there! I’m Matt and I first off want to thank you for taking the time to stop by and checkout my page.
I am a graduate of Virginia Tech, for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. In 2001, I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management. After working several years in retail management I returned back to Virginia Tech to pursue my Masters Degree. In 2007, I obtained my Master’s in Counselor Education.
Helping others is both my passion and calling in life. 13+ years working as a School counselor and coach allowed me to motivate and empower the youth amidst an ever-changing society. As a Mental health counselor working directly in the community I further developed my skills and empathy for others while also learning the true power of both listening and being heard.
In 2023, I decided to combine all of these prior years of professional and life experience to start my own mental health agency. Therein, Sandbridge Counseling was created. The ability to now help others from a phone/tablet or computer is SO very amazing and I don’t take what I do for granted or lightly at all!
